 Manufacturer's warranty includes labor & electrical parts for one year. Shipping is not include.
The exclusion clause is to maintain the machine as suggested. 
 There is extended warranty for 2 years on parts and 5 years on compressor is offered by Bunn for
  ULTRA slush machines. There is no evidence that any one has benefited beyond 3 to 6 months.

 Maintenance of Magnetic drive (MT models) 

 1-  Clean condenser-filter and condenser-coil every week. The machine is air-cooled. It is important that the air circulating though the machine is maximum to keep the Compressor, Gear motor and fan motor cool. Condenser coil is like the nose of the air-cooled machine and must be kept clean. No excuses. Use the proper filters provided by the manufacturer. Cheap foam sheets can reduce air flow and do more harm.
 2-  Lubricate auger bushing and thrust washer after weekly cleaning and sanitizing.
 3-  Lubricate the faucet assembly (o-rings, plunger)
 4-  Use product with minimum brix at 13. Product with brix lower than 12 will freeze fast and cause damage to the auger and Gear motor.

 5-  Make sure that the condenser fan is working. Clean fan blade (impeller) from dust collecting on the blade.


 Replacing the Auger bushings (Dwg. part # 10 & # 11 )

Inner Auger is supported by two bushings - male bushing located on the rear inside wall (drawing part # 10) & female bushing inserted in the rear of the inner auger (drawing part # 11). The two bushings prevent direct contact of auger with the rear wall. If the auger is not held straight, the rear cup will scrape the magnet housing and result in the perforation of the rear wall. Prevent this disaster. Replace these bushings as following:

a-  every 4 months if the machine is on 24/7. 

b-  every 6 months if the machine is used during day time only;

c-  every 12 to 18 months if the machine is used on the week-ends only.


When you buy a used machine, chances are that the previous owner did not replace these bushings. You should replace these bushings before you turn the machine on with product. 


Removing the Rear wall bushing - part # 10


    Part # 10 is pressed on a plastic stub (without threads or screws). To remove it, grab the bushing with nose pliers (from the side) and pull straight, move the pliers slight up and down (to free the bushing from dried sugar and product) and then pull away from the rear wall.


    If it is not easy to pull away from the rear wall using pliers, then insert the sharp edge of a knife between the rear wall and the lip of the bushing (without damaging the rear wall). Slowly and carefully nudge the bushing away from the wall. It may be necessary to press the sharp edge of the blade from the top and from the two sides of the bushing, before it comes out far enough to be pulled out.


Removing the Auger bushing - part # 11


The auger bushing is pressed into recessed space. It sticks tight and may be difficult to pull out due to dried syrup. Use a flat screwdriver to pry it out or grab the lip with cutting pliers and pull out. Lubricate the hollow space with food grade lubricant before pressing the new bushing in. 


      Preventive Maintenance

 Weekly maintenance of HT model

1- the machine is air-cooled. Allow 3 to 4" of space around it for free airflow. 

2- keep the condenser coil (radiator) clean to allow full ventilation. The  compressor must be kept cool for efficient working and long life. 

3- do not back the machine to the wall as it reduces the air circulation.

4- do not place a heat generating equipment (coffee brewer, espresso machine etc.) close to the left side of the machine. The condenser fan will draw warm air in and slow the cooling of machine. 

5- use a dedicated 115 V, 15 Amp electric outlet for a 2-bowl and 115V 20 Amp. outlet for a 3-bowl unit.  Using a long cord or extension cord will drop the voltage. Machine will not operate or freeze as well, when the voltage supply drops to 108 or lower.

6- for better visibility, keep the bowls full with product. Do not allow the

level of product in the bowl drop below the level of spiral blade. The product will over freeze and increase load on the augers & gearmotors.

7-  adjust viscosity when you change the product or as necessary or

8- do not leave the machine in  "freeze mode" overnight.

9- prevent leakage inside the machine. To do so follow the step below:

     clean old lube & lubricate gear shaft every three months

     replace gear shaft o-rings (item # 38 on diagram)

     replace rear seal (part # 10) every 12 weeks.

     replace front bushing (part # 37 'ht' diagram) every 6 months.

     during cleaning of the machine, check the following parts for signs of wear:

1- the outer spiral blade (diagram part # 13) - the nipple shaped front tip of the outer spiral should be evenly rounded. Replace it if the tip is slanted on one side (average life 8 months).

2- check the thrust washer (diagram # 8).  Replace it if a pimple is formed in the center.

3- check the five auger parts (diagram # 12)  (auger parts chip at the point where they lock into each other. Chipped piece overrides the piece in front & pushes the bowl forward. This will cause visible back & forth movement on the serving handle (like a breathing chest). Replace the chipped auger part.

Note: product freezes faster or over freezes inside the bowl when

1-     Brix is below 12 (sugar content is below 17%) or  

2-     the auger stops turning or is turning slow to scrape the frozen product. (Auger turns 38 circles in a minute). Check the reason why auger has slowed down or stopped turning  

3-     the micro switch is stuck in on position or

4-     the solenoid valve is faulty.
